The annual George Sheehan 5K Classic Race and 2 Mile Health Walk is set for June 18th in Red Bank and through streets in surrounding communities.

Race events begin at 6:30 a.m. with a T-shirt pickup. At 7:00 a.m. the runners expo opens and at 8:00 a.m.  the wheel chair 5 mile race gets underway.

At 8:30 a.m. thousands of men and women -- runners from local communities, other states and from countries  around the world will gather on Broad Street for the 5K Classic. At 8:32 a.m. the 2 Mile Health Walk begins.

At 10:00 a.m. the famous post race picnic will be held at Marine Park, At 10:30 a.m. the awards ceremony will be held.

Registration for the race is the last Thursday before the race which is June 16. Online registration for the 5 K/2 mile walk is available at JSGGrandprix or at www.active.com.

Late registration will be held at Marine Park.

Pre race events will be held on June 17th. At 2:00 p.m. the Runner's Expo opens where t-shirts can be picked up. At 6:30 a.m. the Kids Classic Race begins. At 7:00 p.m. NJNG music entertainment and at 8:30 a.m. the runner's expo closes.
