A Nice Day for a Red Bank Triathlon
The Red Bank Triathlon saw athletes swim, bike and run through the borough and beyond.
What a day for a triathlon.
Athletes participating nt he Red Bank Triathlon kicked off at 7 a.m. Sunday morning, participating in either the Olympic Distance triathlon or Spring Distance, in one of the season's best weather days thus far.
More than 500 athletes participated in the two events. The Olympic distance event included a 1.5-mile swim, 40k bike ride, and 10k run. The more popular Sprint distance event included a third of a mile swim, 15k bike ride, and 3.1-mile run.
The event began and ended in Marine Park.
Check out the photos above for a look at the action.

All of these people look so fit. I think the water must have been a little chilly!

the water was great! somewhere right around 70 degrees! just a little correction to the above article... olympic distance was 1.5k swim, 40k bike and 10k run and the spring was 1/3 mile swim, 15 mile bike and 3.1 mile run. Couldn't have asked for a better day for my first triathlon! =) p.s. in the "runners coming through an arch" photo, i'm the 3 person behind the first man! was so funny to randomly find this in my first search for articles and photos from today!

Are you number 665? I added a photo of you to the end of the gallery. A little blur to it, but still clear.
