The fourth annual Boozin for Boobs took over downtown Red Bank to raise money to fight breast cancer.

Sure, fighting breast cancer is motivation enough, but if you're going to try and eradicate a deadly disease, why not do it while participating in a pub crawl?

On Saturday, an estimated 800 people in pink descended on downtown Red Bank for the fourth annual Boozin' for Boobs pub crawl. Developed by Red Bank resident Jill Kinslow as a way to support her mother Susan through her battle with cancer, the event has grown in just four years from a mostly friends and family affair to mark-your-calendars combo breast cancer fundraiser and big-time party event.

"I wanted to do some fundraising and I had just turned 21 at the time," Kinslow, 24, said of the start of Boozin' for Boobs. "The first year we had about 80 people. It's gotten crazy. It's insane. I still cant believe it's turned into this. It's great to know that people can come together for a good cause."

Prior to the official start of the event people in pink shirts, pink hats, pink pants and their signature pink plastic beer mugs could be spotted along the streets and in various watering holes getting a head start on their efforts to save the boobs.

Boozin' for Boobs included eight Red Bank bars and separated participating boozers into teams, like Team DD, in an effort to spread the pink throughout the borough. Proceeds from the event benefit the Susan G. Komen and the American Cancer Society. Kinslow has raised tens of thousands of dollars over the past four years.

Among breast cancer fundraisers, it's become a hit.

"I figured it was something a little bit different," Kinslow said.

This event starts out nicely and then falls apart.
It needs to be tied up so that the other locations
are represented the same as the first .
