Mayors Wellness Campaign Unveils Slogan
There are also plans to develop a one-mile walk to raise money for a good cause.
The key to a good campaign is an equally good slogan.
Red Bank thinks it's found one of its own.
Councilman Mike DuPont unveiled the borough's new slogan for its Mayors Wellness Campaign at the borough's council meeting Wednesday night. A couple of hours spent with community volunteers pouring over a dry erase board littered with about a 100 words resulted in the following:
"Creating a Healthier Community - Today, Tomorrow, Together."
It reads well, sounds motivational, and is all together inspiring. Not a bad job, if we can say so.
The goal of the Mayors Wellness Campaign is to help make Red Bank a healthier community with its leaders helping to set an example. Ultimately, a healthier community should help reduce obesity, obesity-related illness, curb unhealthy lifestyle choices, and even save the town money.
But, the campaign isn't all talk - and slogans - DuPont said there's an effort to create a walk through town to help raise money for healthy causes.
