Robert Hanna of Colts Neck has been charged with stealing from churches in Red Bank and Holmdel.

Robert Hanna, 43 of Colts Neck, was arrested in Red Bank this week for allegedly stealing more than $200 from the "poor box" at St. James Church on Broad Street, police said.

This is the second charge for Hanna for allegedly stealing from "poor boxes" in churches, his first came from St. Catharine's Church where police set up surveillance equipment in April.

According to the police report, Hanna is accused of stealing from St. James Church between May and August. The money belonged to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, which assists those in need.
