In the Freehold/Howell area the best place to celebrate St. Patrick's Day is at the Cabin on Rt. 33 in Howell. If you don't mind traveling a little (20-30 min.), the absolute best place to celebrate St. Patrick's Day, if you can get in, is at Kelly's Tavern in Neptune City. The line starts forming at 7:00 AM. It's a great Irish Pub at the Jersey Shore that serves great food and excellent corned beef, and of course lots of great beer.

Brannigan's on St.Patrick's Day? No thanks! Kelly's in Neptune City at 7am for the hardcore. Boathouse in Belmar is great. Dublin House, Red Bank, is always a good time. Music is key for me. Must have great LIVE Irish Music. Years past Briody's Rumson was good, now Molly Maguire's. Huddy's in Colts Neck has been fun but the limited bathroom facilities are a problem just like Brannigan's in Red Bank. Harrigan's, Sea Girt is a great spot too. Most important insurance to having a Fantastic time is a reliable DESIGNATED DRIVER-cabs will be hard to get. SLAINTE'

Why isn't Kelly's in Neptune on this list? It's Jammed on St Patricks day. But My Vote goes to the Bar I DJ in Edgar's Irish Pub in Manasquan.

David-- You can cast your vote for Edgar's on Manasquan-Belmar Patch. And we'll look into adding Kelly's here, since our Long Branch-Eatontown Patch is the closest we come to Neptune so far.

This just in: Kelly's in Neptune is also on the ballot at Manasquan-Belmar Patch, so there you go, David.

We love St. Stephens Green Publick House on RT 71 in Spring Lake Heights. Hands down it is the best Irish pub around.
