A Monmouth County grand jury indicted a 20-year-old Red Bank Thursday on robbery and assault charges.

Niko Rossano, of Cedar Crossing, allegedly attacked another Red Bank resident by striking him in the face and taking his wallet and unknown amount of cash on Sept. 16, 2012. The person Rossano is accused of attacking was subsequently treated and released from Riverview Medical Center, according to the Red Bank Police Department.

Detective Wendy Samis arrested Rossano following an investigation.
