Red Bank Man Indicted on Weapon Charge
Shrewsbury Avenue resident has a conviction on his record of endangering the welfare of a child
A Red Bank man faces a weapon charge after being indicted by a Monmouth County grand jury.
Joseph L. Gutridge, 51, of Shrewsbury Avenue was indicted Wednesday after police said he had a handgun when arrested July 25 in the borough.
Gutridge was convicted in 1985 in Monmouth County of endangering the welfare of a child, which disqualifies him from legally owning a weapon.
He was charged with certain persons not to have weapons, a second-degree crime.
