Shrewsbury Celebrates Pet Store Opening

PetValu recently held a grand opening celebration at its Shrewsbury location.

Shrewsbury welcomed its newest business to the neighborhood with a recent ribbon cutting.

PetValu, a pet supply store located in the Shrewsbury Plaza Shopping Center, held its grand opening recently, inviting borough Mayor Donald Burden to cut the ribbon and welcome costumers inside.

The store is part of a chain with nearly 400 locations that originated in Canada and has slowly spread down into the States. A pet supply store that caters to doting pet parents, PetValu routinely takes space in smaller storefronts than other national retailers like PetSmart and promises personalized service for those who shop with them.

Wag On Inn Pet Rescue was also on hand for the opening, hoping to find homes for four-legged victims of Hurricane Sandy. If you're interested in adopting a pet, or want to help visit the organization's site at wagoninn.rescuegroups.org.

I love PetValu - they are a very reliable retailer! They also carry a scoopable pine-based cat litter called Feline Fresh that is fantastic - I can't find it anywhere else. Welcome!

Maybe Mayor Burden should start cleaning the town up of trash and fixing the streets with all the tax increases. It appears the town is going backwards.
