Truck Gets Wedged Under Railroad Bridge in Red Bank [VIDEO]
It was freed by 6:40 pm; train service appeared to be uninterrupted.
A large ice cream delivery truck, too tall for a railroad bridge near Red Bank, became wedged underneath the span shortly after 5 p.m. Friday evening, triggering a 90-minute effort to free it.
Middletown police were detouring traffic at Hubbard Avenue & West Front Street. New Jersey Transit police were also at the scene and two tow trucks had arrived by 6:15 p.m. The driver of the Uncle Louie G ice cream truck appeared to be deflating its tires to reduce its height so it could clear the underside of the bridge.
By 6:40 p.m., the truck was able to clear the bridge and police were clearing the scene.

The traffic we experienced in River Plaza is just a small sample of what is to come with the bridge replacement.

This really isn't newsworthy, it happens all the time.

Jennifer - I didn't know it ever happened before; thanks for sharing. I hope the ice cream survived the delay.

Probably happens once a week. It's a huge pain. Truck drivers need to learn the height of there trucks.
