Forum on 'Issues Women Care About' at the Monmouth County Library-Eastern Branch

Are you curious on what is really in the Affordable Care Act and how it will affect you and your health insurance? Do you want to know if the viral chain emails continually clogging up your inbox and passed on as gospel are true or not?  Come learn about the Affordable Care Act as well as information on women’s health and domestic violence at the forum “Issues Women Care About.” The forum takes place on Tuesday, October 9, from 6:30 – 8:30 pm, at the Monmouth County Library – Eastern Branch Route 35, Shrewsbury. Everyone is welcome, admission is free and light refreshments will be served. The forum is sponsored by the Monmouth County Women for Obama.

Danielle Reid, Esq., an attorney in Red Bank, will moderate the forum which features a panel of professionals speaking on their areas of expertise. They include:

  • Dr. Stephen G. Rice, a clinical professor of pediatrics at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, will simplify the Affordable Care Act and take your questions.
  • Patricia Teffenhart-Maikos, Assistant Executive Director, Women Aware, Speaking on, “Domestic Violence”
  • Michele Jaker, Former Executive Director, Planned Parenthood Action       Fund of New Nersey, Speaking on, “Women’s Health”

The Monmouth County Women for Obama is a subset of the Obama for America

The organization’s value statement reads “We want a country in which it’s possible to live these values:  Security & Safety, Health, Fairness and Freedom. We are all connected and everyone deserves a fair chance. Ensuring the
