We are pleased to announce we will be starting up our weekly meetings in Monmouth County Library - Eastern Branch on June 6th at 10am.
Neighbors-helping-Neighbors (NhN), is a very successful volunteer led organization offering free weekly support and networking meetings for people actively seeking employment, is pleased to announce the formation of new groups throughout Northern New Jersey and eventual expansion into other States. Founded in River Edge in January, 27, 2011, NhN has fostered an environment in which group members assist each other in job search techniques and suggestions based on personal experience plus personal and professional networking. Resources are available at host libraries to assist with computer job searches and other useful resources.
“Not feeling alone or powerless are critical factors in a job search, particularly for those who have been out of work for an extended period of time,” explained John Fugazzie, founder and group leader of NhN. “Support, discussion and information sharing can make all the difference. It helps re-build the confidence needed to successfully implement the steps to land a job.
I want to welcome you to become a Neighbor-helping-Neighbors member. We have an incredible group of people who are willing to help each other in very unselfish ways. Our group has been in existence for just over 15 months now, having started in River Edge Library on January 27, 2011.
NhN members are free to attend any of the library programs, (that are not at capacity, some have meeting room limits we can not exceed) we run and with programs held on different nights and days so you can increase your networking by attending other locations and meeting our various members these libraries.
It is helpful for you to arrive by the meeting start times sharp so we can make the most of our time, beginning our agenda promptly. We go around the room, hearing who members are and what they are looking for. This way we can all help with networking and target company suggestions. I ask all members to use your time at our meetings as a way to practice the power of positive thinking. Our goal is to help each other at meetings with support and suggestions and be very upbeat.
Looking for work is difficult and disappointing at times. To be successful you must stay positive and make sure that, no matter how you feel, you are always presenting yourself in that way.
