This one-session class is designed for women who develop gestational diabetes during pregnancy. Participants will learn how gestational diabetes develops, the link between diet and blood glucose, how to plan healthy meals and how to use a blood glucose meter for home monitoring. A free blood glucose meter starter kit will be provided. Appointments are scheduled Monday through Friday as needed at The Center for Diabetes Education at Monmouth Medical Center, located at 300 Second Ave. in Long Branch.
