Monmouth County Historical Association invites you to experience an evening of merriment, 18th century music and refreshments just as tavernkeeper Josiah Halstead celebrated in 1770, on Friday, December 7th, 2012, at the Allen House, an 18th century tavern.
In conjunction with the Holiday Lantern Tours of Shrewsbury's Historic Four Corners, featuring Christ Church, Allen House, Friends Meeting House and Presbyterian Church.
Tours leave at 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm from Christ Church located at 380 Sycamore Avenue, Shrewsbury, NJ.

Located at the intersection of Sycamore Avenue and Broad Street in Shrewsbury, the Monmouth County Historical Association's Allen House is a New Jersey state landmark. Built back in 1710, the Allen House was furnished as a home complete with a garden, yet was operated as a tavern.
