DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, June 16 is Learn to Row Day at Navesink River Rowi
 ng. From 9am to 1pm\, visitors to the site (at the foot of Maple Avenue\
 , off West Front Street in Red Bank NJ)\, can sample a variety of free\,
  hands-on rowing experiences. This event is free and open to the public.
 \nNRR has been offering men\, women and teens affordable access to all a
 spects of the sport of rowing since 1983. The group maintains a fleet of
  boats for members to use from May through late October and provides les
 sons\, coaching and summer youth programs in June\, July &amp\; early Au
 gust.&nbsp\;\n&ldquo\;Each year\, on Learn to Row Day we open our site t
 o the public\,&rdquo\; explains NRR Board President\, Kay Vilardi of Lit
 tle Silver\, &ldquo\;Anyone who is interested can come down\, see our fa
 cilities\, try out some of our equipment and even get into a boat to lea
 rn a little rowing from NRR volunteers and coaches. It&rsquo\;s a fun\, 
 free event that the whole family can enjoy.&rdquo\;\n&nbsp\;\nAlthough y
 ou must be at least 14 to enroll in one of NRR&rsquo\;s highly regarded 
 summer programs and 18 for full boat-use membership privileges\, on Lear
 n to Row day\, younger\, school-age children can also get in a boat and 
 give it a try.&nbsp\;\n&nbsp\;\nThere is no upper age limit\, not on Lea
 rn to Row day - or for rowing in general. It is not uncommon to meet rec
 reational and competitive rowers in their 70s or 80&rsquo\;s. It&rsquo\;
 s never too late to take up the sport.\n&nbsp\;\nAlong with Learn-to-Row
  Day demonstrations\, site tours and mini-lessons\, NRR members and coac
 hes will also be on hand to answer questions and share their rowing expe
 riences. Proceeds from the sale of NRR logo merchandise will go towards 
 the group&rsquo\;s Community Outreach efforts\, including Reach Out and 
 Row (ROAR) &ldquo\;rowerships&rdquo\; that enable under-served youngster
 s to participate in NRR youth programs.\n&nbsp\;\nTo learn more about th
