United Methodist Church of Red Bank's Reconciling Community to Host Greater New Jersey Conference of Reconciling Training and Fellowship

UMC Red Bank's Reconciling Community and the national organization of The Reconciling Ministries Network are proud to host two days of training and an evening event of Information and Fellowship.

All New Jersey United Methodist Churches are invited and encouraged to learn more about the Reconciling Process at "An Evening of Fellowship" on Friday April 5th from 7PM to 9PM. This unique event will take place in Fellowship Hall located within the UMC Red Bank, located at 247 Broad Street, Red Bank, NJ 07701. Past and present UMC pastors, including the Rev. Gil Caldwell, will be on hand along with trainers and representatives from The Reconciling Ministry Network. It will be an evening of important information and a time to
meet other UMC congregations interested in learning more about the Reconciling Process. All denominations are welcome and dessert, coffee and tea will be served.

To register for this unique evening event, please go to: www.umcredbank.org.

If you are an existing United Methodist Church layperson and want to help increase the number of Reconciling churches, communities and campus ministries, we need
your help. By registering and attending our two-day Reconciling Training workshop and becoming a Reconciling coach, you will be highly instrumental in widening the welcome to our LGBTQ sisters and brothers. This one-of-a-kind opportunity will be organized and run by trainers from the Reconciling Ministries Network based in Chicago, Ill. You will learn how to become a coach to help your congregation or another New Jersey UMC congregation how to go through the Reconciling process. Process coach training will include skills building around topics common in the Reconciling process including: complex identities, framing, steps of the Reconciling Process, graceful engagement, and conflict management.

Reconciling Training will take place on two days. The first session, on Friday, April 5th from 3 to 6 PM, will be followed by a complimentary dinner and an evening of Fellowship ending at 9PM. The training continues the following day, Saturday, April 6th from 9AM to 3PM.  A complimentary breakfast and light lunch will also be provided on this day of training. To register for the training, please visit: www.rmnetwork.org. For more information about the two day training, please contact Helen Ryde, North East Organizer for the Reconciling Ministries Network at: helen@rmnetwork.org
