'White Christmas' Comes to Town

What's happening in the Red Bank-Shrewsbury area on Friday and into the weekend.

Happy Friday, friend and fans!

Time to get the weekend started, so …

Around the towns today and into the weekend …

• Remember the record player? Well, we dug up a classic ad from the Red Bank Register archives that is a must-see. Check it out.

• It's opening night of Irving Berlin's classic White Christmas by Phoenix Productions at the Count Basie Theatre. Click here for more details.

• It's also $5 Fridays at, of course The Cheese Cave on Monmouth Street in Red Bank. You get samplings of cheeses and pairings. Check the Facebook page to see what's on the menu tonight.

• And, if you're looking for things to do out of the immediate area, but still in Monmouth County, click here.

Weather, sun, moon and tides …

• Looks like it's going to warm up a bit today. It's supposed to be sunny with a high of 60 degrees. Sounds good. There's a chance of showers on Sunday.

• The moon is waxing full (or Gibbous, as they call it). Check out www.tides4fishing for more info on that, the tides and the hours of sun and moon exposure.

Have a great weekend; and I'll see you around the towns!
