Community Health Fair Saturday, June 28

Lunch Break and the Red Bank YMCA are co-sponsoring a Community Health Fair to be held Saturday, June 28, from Noon to 3 p.m. at the Red Bank Community YMCA at 166 Maple Avenue

Lunch Break and the Red Bank YMCA are co-sponsoring a Community Health Fair to be held Saturday, June 28, from Noon to 3 p.m. at the Red Bank Community YMCA at 166 Maple Avenue. It’s a natural collaboration between Lunch Break and the YMCA.  Lunch Break has been a part of the community for 31 years whose mission statement says, in part, “Our mission is to alleviate hunger and lead those we serve to self-sufficiency and healthier lifestyles.”  The YMCA has, for 140 years, been at the heart of the Red Bank community and whose mission, in part, is to promote healthy living and support the health and well-being of the entire community.

Health care, mental health care, social service professionals, military veterans resources, and Pawsitive Action will be on hand at the health fair to provide information.  There will be exercise demonstrations and games as well as giveaways and refreshments.  Everyone is welcome.  Please bring your family and friends.

Free screenings and tests will be provided for blood pressure, glucose levels, cholesterol levels, body mass index (BMI), stroke risk, and HIV.

In addition to Lunch Break and the Red Bank YMCA, participating organizations at the event are NjCEED, the Parker Family Health Center, the VNA Health Group, Meridian Health, the Red Bank Resource Network and Sandy Wellness Programs, and the Mental Health Association of Monmouth County.
