Monmouth Medical Center Among Sponsors for Rumson St. Patrick's Day Parade

Monmouth Medical Center, a Barnabas Health facility, was among the platinum sponsors for the 2nd Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Rumson that attracted more than 4,000 people and featured a festival of lights, music and a host of  participants including members of the U.S. Armed Forces.

Brigadier General (Retired) Pete Dawkins, Ph.D., of Rumson, served as Grand Marshal of the parade, which was held on March 9. The Heisman Trophy winner and highly decorated member of the U.S. Army, along with his wife Judi, a member of the Monmouth Medical Center Board of Trustees, will receive the Community Leadership Award at Monmouth Medical Center’s 42nd Annual Crystal Ball Gala on May 10.

The Rumson St. Patrick’s Day Parade is a nonprofit organization funded entirely by donations with the mission to bring the community together for a safe, fun-filled day for the entire family, honor the Grand Marshal for accomplishments and positive impact on the community, raise money for local organizations and celebrate the contributions that Irish Americans have made to culture, business and government.
