Monmouth Medical Center Announces Two New Executives

Monmouth Medical Center recently announced two executive appointments. Sea Bright resident David McClung has been named chief financial officer (CFO) for Monmouth Medical Center, and Eatontown resident Joan Wills, RN, MPA, was appointed regional assistant vice president of geriatrics.

A veteran of the hospital industry, McClung has worked in a CFO capacity since 1983. Prior to joining Monmouth, McClung served as CFO at Portsmouth Regional Hospital in Portsmouth, New Hampshire; CJW Medical Center in Richmond, Virginia.; and Presbyterian/St. Luke’s Medical Center in Denver, Colorado.

McClung earned a bachelor’s degree in health planning and administration from Penn State University and has completed graduate school coursework at Marshall University, Virginia Commonwealth University and the West Virginia College of Graduate Studies. He is also a graduate of the HCA Executive Management Program and the HCA CFO/Controller Development Program.

An active Penn State alumnus, McClung is a life member of the Penn State Alumni Association and serves as a board member of the Penn State College of Health and Human Development Alumni Society. He is also a board member of the Richie McFarland Children’s Center in Stratham, N.H.

Previously, Wills, who oversees geriatric services at Monmouth Medical Center and its southern campus at Kimball Medical Center, Lakewood, served as coordinator of the Barnabas Health Transition Program for the Frail Elderly with Dementia at Monmouth Medical Center. Wills joined Monmouth Medical Center as an emergency room staff nurse and over the years has held positions in Emergency Department management, ambulatory care, performance improvement and at the Leon Hess Cancer Center at Monmouth Medical Center.

A registered nurse, Wills earned a master’s degree in public administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University and a bachelor’s degree in biology from Monmouth University.
