The Leon Hess Cancer Center at Monmouth Medical Center Offers Free Prostate Cancer Screenings
Prostate cancer is one of the most common forms of cancer affecting men in the U.S., according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The Leon Hess Cancer Center at Monmouth Medical Center, a Barnabas Health facility, will provide free prostate cancer screenings to qualifying men on Wednesday, November 6 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the hospital’s Institute for Advanced Radiation Oncology, located at 300 Second Avenue in Long Branch.
Monmouth Medical Center urologists and radiation oncologists will perform the free screenings for men age 40 and older who have not undergone a prostate examination or prostate specific antigen (PSA) test within the past year. Men age 40 and older are encouraged to undergo an annual physician’s checkup that includes prostate cancer testing.
