Red Bank Guinness Oyster Festival Postponed

Organizers are pushing the event back to its scheduled rain date because of inclement forecasts.

According to Red Bank RiverCenter, Sunday's second annual Guinness Oyster Festival has been pushed back a week to its scheduled Sunday, Oct. 2 rain date, because of predictions of inclement weather.

Aside from the date change, all scheduled activities are in order, just next week now. The event will be held in downtown Red Bank in the White Street municipal parking lot from 12 - 7 p.m.

The family event will feature 25 local restaurants, many offering dishes prepared specifically for the oyster festival. Also included for purchase is, of course, Guinness, as well as other beer varieties - some on the lighter side - and even wine.

The festival includes many musical acts as well, including, you know, with the whole Irish thing, U2 tribute band 2U.
