Safe Sitter Program Comes to YMCA

Program is slated for Aug. 5 at the YMCA in Red Bank.

In expanding its efforts to nurture adolescents and support safety of children, The Community YMCA a new Safe Sitter program for 11- to 14-year-old adolescents at its Family Health and Wellness Center in Red Bank, a registered Safe Sitter teaching site, on Aug. 5 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

Nationally, the Safe Sitter program has graduated over 600,000 teens who are able to stay home alone safely and handle emergencies when caring for younger children.

Participants are asked to bring two snacks and a lunch.
