Dickey Betts and Great Southern

Singer, songwriter and guitarist Dickey Betts is the co-founder of one of America’s most beloved musical groups, The Allman Brothers Band, and the writer of some of their greatest hits, including “Ramblin’ Man,” “Blue Sky,” “In Memory of Elizabeth Reed,” “Southbound,” and “Jessica.” #58 on Rolling Stone Magazine’s 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time list, he is a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, a 2001 Grammy Award nominee, and a 1995 Grammy Award winner for Best Rock Instrumental Performance. Expect the Basie show to include music from throughout his career, including jazz, blues, western swing, and more than a little good old rock and roll. His latest release is the DVD Dickey Betts & Great Southern - Rockpalast: 30 Years Of Southern Rock, 1978 – 2008.
