Luncheon with Author and Activist David Goldman

The Junior League of Monmouth County’s (JLMC) will be
hosting a luncheon with David Goldman at Taste Restaurant located at 10 BridgeAvenue in Red Bank, NJ on December 3rd, 11:30 am to 1:30pm. Tickets are $50.00
each. Lunch includes a glass of wine or beer. Space is limited, so reservations are required. The luncheon will provide a forum for David to share his inspiring story and raise awareness of the issue of international child abduction.

David Goldman is a father, author and activist, devoting his time to public speaking and advocacy work on behalf of victims of international child abduction. David is also co-founder of the Bring Sean Home Foundation (www.BringSeanHome.org). David fought an inspiring five-year battle to be reunited with his son, Sean, who was
abducted to Brazil in June 2004 and returned to the United States on Christmas Eve 2009 − a true Christmas miracle. The case received international media attention and introduced many around the world to the growing, tragic issue of international parental child abduction. Increased awareness and support for the Goldman case eventually led to the personal involvement of a number of
prominent U.S. government officials, including President Barack Obama, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Congressman Christopher Smith (NJ), and
U.S. Senator Frank Lautenberg.

David authored the recently released A Father's Love: One Man's Unrelenting Battle to Bring His Abducted Son
Home
(Viking/Penguin), which provides a first-hand account of his fight to reunite with his son and his ongoing advocacy work. David has appeared on many nationally and internationally syndicated television and radio programs, including NBC's Dateline, NBC's Today Show, ABC's Good Morning America, CNN's Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer, CNN's Larry King Live, and Fox News. He has also been featured in various nationally distributed
publications. David has testified as lead witness at congressional hearings on the issue of international child abduction and has consulted members of Congress drafting legislation to reduce the number of internationally abducted children and prevent future abductions. He has called for reforms that would treat the issue as a serious human rights problem and emphasize the need for the swift return of abducted children to their home countries.
