Food and Theater Come Together in Red Bank

Red Bank Flavour is teaming up with Two River Theater to present Broadway in Red Bank April 16.

Red Bank Flavour is joining Two River Theater to present Broadway in Red Bank on Monday, April 16, according to a release. The event, a campaign to raise money for local theater and the restaurant consortium will feature a selection of cuisine from some of the borough's restaurants as well as a cabaret performance featuring Broadway's rising stars.

Tickets range in price from $75-$200 are on sale now.

The event begins at 6 p.m. with foodies and theater fans able to enjoy a 90-minute culinary extravaganza presented by more than a dozen select Red Bank restaurants. Following the flavourful food tasting, audience members will enjoy a special musical cabaret in Rechnitz Theater.

“Broadway in Red Bank marks an important collaboration between Red Bank Flavour and the town’s theaters, merging the arts and culinary communities to raise awareness of Red Bank as a thriving entertainment and cultural destination,” Chris Paseka, owner of Red Bank’s Sugarush a Sweet Experience, said in a release. “We are very excited to be working with Two River Theater to produce this event and hope it is the first of many partnerships.”

There are four ticket options, $75, $100, $150 and $200, for Broadway in Red Bank. The $75 and $100 tickets include a pre-show reception in the Two River Theater lobby, a food tasting, and tickets to the cabaret. The $150 and $200 tickets include an exclusive pre-show reception in Two River’s Marion Huber Theater from 6 - 7:30 p.m., vodka, champagne and wine tastings, passed hors d’oeuvres from Red Bank restaurants, premier seating in the Rechnitz Theater, and a meet and greet with the artists.

“Two River Theater is very pleased to collaborate with the many wonderful restaurants that are part of Red Bank Flavour on Broadway in Red Bank,” Artistic Director John Dias said in the release. “We are especially happy to be partnering on an event that brings great young Broadway performers to this community. We know that artists love coming to Red Bank, partly because of the town’s vibrancy, and we’re glad to join with Red Bank’s culinary community to help promote that.”
