Rockit! Live Band Vies for Spot in Bamboozle Line-up
The band of local high school students will compete in round 2 of the Break Contest on March 11 at the Stone Pony.
Rockit! trained group Reality Check is a 3-month-old rock band vying for a spot in the Bamboozle line-up this May.
Band members include:
- Mike Cappelluti, Keyboards, Freshman at
- Dana Hembling, Vocals, Sophomore at
- Tom Heider, Bass, Freshman at
- Billy Nally, Drums, Freshman at
- Jake Hoffman, Guitar, Homeschooled in Long Valley
The group, excluding Heider, met when participating in the Live program based out of the Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank. They play a variety of rock music including self-written songs and covers of their favorite bands.

Reality Check is competing in Round 2 of the Break Contest, the official battle of the bands for Bamboozle. The competition will be held on March 11 at The Stone Pony in Asbury Park.
