The store may be called Jay and Silent Bob's Secret Stash, but it's really no secret that the Kevin Smith crew there is filming his Comic Book Men series.
In fact, at a recent Red Bank Borough Council meeting, permission was granted for filming at the 35 Broad Street store from July 8 to Sept. 20.
There are times that you'll see them out and about. Sometimes not. But, the staff has made it clear that the store is, yes, open for business.
Smith, a Middletown native, is best known for his Jersey-centric work, including his independent film debut of Clerks, shot at the Leonardo Quick Stop, Chasing Amy, and Mallrats, among others.
