"Wicked" Cupcakes Benefit Trevor Project

Sugarush Shares is benefiting the Trevor Project with its Wicked cupcakes.

Every month donates some of the proceeds of their signature cupcake to a different charity. That's just the kind of guys they are.

Though their contributions often go unmentioned - , they're not in it for the publicity - this month's Sugarush Shares just seemed too cool not to mention.

June is Gay Pride Month, and as such, Sugarush is helping raise money for and promote the Trevor Project, a national youth organization aimed at helping curb teen suicide, specifically among the LGBT community. But, as your favorite pitch-man is likely to say, that's not all.

Wicked the Musical, you know the one on Broadway that's been thrilling audiences for years, got in touch with the guys at Sugarush to develop and promote a few Wicked cupcakes. According to Chris Paseka, one half of the Sugarush duo, the conversation spurred Wicked to help out with the Trevor Project.

To do your part, all you need to do is buy a cupcake. They're available at Sugarush on Front Street and at RiverFest at the Boondocks Fishery at the base of Marine Park (near the water) this weekend. They look cool too!
