A Sweet Anniversary

Sugarush celebrated its one-year anniversary recently.

Congratulations are in order for . Red Bank’s first ever cupcake bakery celebrated its one-year anniversary along with Red Bank-Shrewsbury Patch this week. The Front Street bakery has quickly become a downtown landmark for anyone looking to sate their sweet appetite.

The bakery, co-owned by former New York residents Chris Paseka and his husband Jesse Bello Paseka, has sold more than 150,000 cupcakes in its first year, just one of several milestones Sugarush has hit so far.

More than anything, Sugarush has made its mark with its social consciousness and dedication to serving the community. Each month Sugarush donates a portion of its proceeds from sales of its signature Sugarush cupcake to a different charity. Sugarush, along with Sweetest Sin Lingerie Boutique, also organized the Go Naked and Check Yourself event. The benefit raised thousands of dollars and awareness for detectable cancers.
