So it’s not an evil frozen yogurt laboratory where the goal is to come up with the weirdest thing you can, but it is part of a growing trend in the area to turn over the reigns to the customer for completely personal yogurt customization. The first of its kind in the immediate area, Let’s Yo! is one of several yogurt shops, along with Blissberry and Yo Mon Yogurt, two shops expected to open in Red Bank, to give the customer exactly what he or she wants.

Let’s Yo! General Manager Mike Curry said the goal of the shop, which is located in the Shopping Center on Route 35, is to not only provide the best tasting frozen yogurt, but to create an atmosphere where people want to hang out. In addition to plenty of seating, there are big screen televisions, free wifi, and even several iPads available for use.

But, the seller, he said, is the frozen treat.

“It’s a different yogurt experience,” he said. “It’s self serve so it gives that fun factor. But, it’s not just for kids, adults enjoy it too.”

The pay-by-weight yogurt shop is the second Let’s Yo! The first store in the growing franchise opened in Marlboro. Let’s Yo! was founded by Eric Casaburi, a New Jersey resident who also founded the ever-expanding budget workout giant RetroFitness.

Let’s Yo! is open Mon-Thurs 9 a.m. – 10 p.m., Fri-Sat 9 a.m. – 11 p.m., and Sun 10 a.m. – 10 p.m.
