Last Chance: International Flavour

Red Bank's International Flavour Festival is today. Don't miss out.

Another Red Bank foodie showcase is going downtown today in the White Street parking lot from 12 to 7 p.m. Called the International Flavour Festival, the event is a spring culinary showcase in line with the similar Red Bank Guinness Oyster Festival, which attracted an estimated 10,000 people to the borough during the fall with its dozens of food vendors and two stages of live music.

Like the oyster fest, the Flavour Festival will again include two stages as well as two tents dedicated to dispensing beer and wine to those thirsty revelers of age.

In all, 25 Red Bank restautrants are participating in the festival, featuring a world of cuisine from Asia to Mexico, French to Italian, and more.

A $5 donation is needed to enter the event. Proceeds benefit the Red Bank RiverCenter, the borough's downtown marketing arm, and the Red Bank Regional Buccanners Athletic Foundation. The non-profit organizaton is dedicated to raising funds to pay for and install lighting on the high school's football field to allow for evening games.

There's no rain date, though forcasts predict decent, though cloudy, weather throughout the day with temperatures reaching the low 60's.
