RiverCenter Gets $20K Grant for 'Escape'

The matching grant covers marketing expenses for expanded, new campaign

Red Bank RiverCenter's award-winning marketing campaign just got $20,000 richer.

The non-profit downtown alliance, in conjunction with the Red Bank Visitors' Center, has been awarded a matching NJ Department of Tourism Cooperative Marketing Grant to promote its "Escape for a Little While" ad campaign in 2014, a release from RiverCenter said.

The grant, available to organizations throughout the state, was applied for in June of 2013. The campaign, the release added, is in line with RiverCenter and the Visitors' Center's decade-long mission to make Red Bank a destination of choice for businesses, arts, accommodations and dining.

“We are proud and honored to have been chosen for this grant, and we look forward to showcasing Red Bank to some new markets," RiverCenter Board of Trustees President Leo Zeik said.

Putting the newly-attained funds to use, the reach of the ad is expected to extend to Washington, D.C., Connecticut, New York State, Pennsylvania and Canada. Its expansion aim, the release said, is to encouraging tourists and visitors to visit and stay in Red Bank, as well as the entire Jersey Shore.

The $20,000 will be matched by collaborative funding from the Red Bank Visitors' Center, the Molly Pitcher Inn and Oyster Point Hotel, the Count Basie Theatre and the Two River Theater.
