Ten Thousand Villages, Red Bank's fair trade, non-profit store, offers creative ways to show love for that special someone while also helping others. All products are fairly traded, which creates opportunities for artisans in developing countries to earn income. Valentine's items include a wide selection of cards, jewelry, soaps, chocolates, coffees, teas, and crafts from around the world.
For free Valentine's fun, come in Saturday, February 8th, which will feature fair trade chocolate-dipped strawberries provided by Sugarush a sweet experience. Also, you can be an artisan for the day as the staff teaches you how to make heart shaped bookmarks! The event, from 1-6 pm, is free and is open to all ages - no reservations needed.
The store is located at 69 Broad Street, Red Bank. New store hours are: Monday- Thursday 10am-6pm, Friday & Saturday 10am-8pm, Sunday 11am-5pm.
