Hurricane Damage in Shrewsbury

Pictures of the damage caused by Hurricane Sandy in Shrewsbury.

Hurricane Sandy hit New Jersey at around 8 p.m. Monday night. The resulting winds and heavy raised caused many trees in Shrewsbury to topple over causing property damage and widespread outages.

As of Tuesday morning, Jersey Central Power and Light estimates that 1,605 Shrewsbury residents are without power, though officials here believe the outages to be townwide.
