Pair Indicted on Assault, Theft Charges
Aberdeen, Shrewsbury teens also charged with robbery and aggravated assault
Two teens have been indicted on multiple counts by a Monmouth County grand jury on allegations they robbed and assaulted a victim in Red Bank and then attempted to destroy an electronic device that served as evidence.
Leo Conaghan, 18, of Aberdeen, and Jeff Daiker, 18, of Shrewsbury Township, were arrested on May 26 and charged with aggravated assault after they robbed and attacked a man on Monmouth Street, police said.
On Wednesday, the pair was indicted on three charges, including second-degree robbery, third-degree aggravated assault and tampering with physical evidence, a fourth-degree crime.

According to court documents, Daiker and Conaghan threatened and assaulted a victim identified only as V.N. Later, the pair destroyed an apparently stolen iPod so it could not be used in the investigation of their alleged crimes, the grand jury found.
