Music and Movement: Tune-Up Your Mood

Since ancient times, music has been recognized as a calming agent and an antidote to stress and tension.  Music can also stimulate and motivate. New studies indicate that listening to specific types of music and moving our bodies in certain ways can affect the release of powerful brain chemicals that can regulate mood, reduce aggression and depression and improve sleep patterns. Join Barbara Restuccio, RN, HNBC, HTPA, Program Instructor, Monmouth Medical Center, for this this interactive workshop and move to the music!  The program will be held at Thompson Park Visitor’s Center, located on Newman Springs Road in Lincroft. Registration is required by calling 732-842-4000. $20 per person.
