2011 Annual Appeal          Support Monmouth Arts !  

Did you know that over 700 artists call Monmouth County home? And that each year over 1,000,000 people participate in arts events in Monmouth County - the majority of which are produced by nonprofit arts groups?   These people and events are a critical component of the vitality of our community. They:

Have a positive impact on our economy - over $46 million a year. The nonprofit arts industry is responsible for over 1,293 jobs throughout the county!

Offer a training ground for young artists - Monmouth County audiences see current and future stars everyday. Not everyone has to become a star, but participation in the arts by children has proven to level the learning field across socio-economic boundaries.

Monmouth County Arts Council 40th Anniversary (1971 - 2011)

Over the past 40 years MCAC has provided millions of dollars in grants to local arts groups resulting in thousands of art events; developed an award winning county arts plan; nurtured the next generation with the Teen Arts Festival; held workshops and networking events for artists and arts groups; and marketed art events with X.it Artzine, This Week in the Arts e-blasts and on www.monmoutharts.org.
