my journey with Aviana

Last November the weekend after Superstorm Sandy tore through our lives, I  ventured off to take a continuing education class in Aviana Life Touch Therapy in Mechanicsburg PA.  I had signed up for this class months before and had really been looking forward to it.  The description of the class spoke to me, and called to me...come learn a new form of healing touch, that has no contraindications, will make your client float!  A combination of energy work, combining Ayurvedic, Hawaiian, and Native American healings, and reflexology.....mmmm who could beat this!  I have had some training in reflexology and Lomi Lomi massage, and a weekend of Ayurvedic training so the desire to delve further into this was strong!
The storm hit, 7 of us in my home, and no power, coolers, you know we all had it and some much worse than me by a long shot....I called the school, are we still having class?  The kind woman said yes, come escape, we have power, and heat...The b and b owner, Kevin of The Orris house in Mechanicsburg emailed me and said he would understand if I needed to cancel and refund my deposit...I decided to go, asked the kids all to come, all  of these young adults declined, even with the promise of an indoor pool and a running washing machine????  The class and the b and b (which I highly recommend) were all more than I had hoped for!  I went from the sad state of my home town, to a warm, inviting beautiful b and b, coffee-hot! delivered to my door early before class started!  And the instructor of the class, Nancy Schmidt was amazing...She was one of the best storytellers I have known....her combination of energy techniques is amazing....her care, her rhythm, her appreciation of music, and how that helps us heal...all amazing!  This healing modality is so great, it helps on so many levels and allows us to have that time of rest, peace and remind us that we have the power to heal with in us all, all the time....I will be running a special on this modality the second half of august (till then I have a bunch of house guests I am so excited to see!).  For further information about this treatment see my website or give me a call
