Bring Out Your Shred, Here Comes the County's Truck

The big box truck with the shredding machine is coming to Shrewsbury, Manasquan, Keansburg, and Freehold.

There are four upcoming opportunities for Monmouth County residents to destroy old bills, tax papers, credit card and bank statements, and reduce the chance of identity theft.

All shredding events will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at these locations:

  • Sat., Sept. 21 – Manasquan 4th Avenue parking
  • Sun., Sept. 29 – Keansburg High School, 190 Port Monmouth Rd.
  • Sat., Oct. 19– Boro of Shrewsbury Municipal Complex, 419 Sycamore Ave.
  • Sat., Nov. 2—Freehold Twp. Municipal Complex, 1 Municipal Plaza

You can bring up to 100 lbs. to be shredded -- if you can lift it.

Large binder clips are not allowed, but staples and paper clips may be left on documents.

Some advice, don't go late. When the truck is full, it leaves.
