Charms Candy Company VP, St. Anthony's Parishioner Dies at 83

Dante A. Monaco was a veteran of the Korean War.

Dante A. Monaco, 83, of Red Bank, died on Sunday, March 31, at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel.

Dante was born in Montclair and moved to the shore area in 1976. He was a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, Red Bank. He served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Korean War.

He retired from Charms Candy Company, Colts Neck, where he worked as vice president for many years.

Dante was predeceased by his loving wife of 54 years in March, 2011. Surviving are: his daughter, Michele Jones, and her husband, Tom, Red Bank; sons, Peter Monaco, Middletown, and Paul Monaco and wife Theresa, Michigan; siblings, David Monaco and his wife Valerie, Mary Monaco and Gloria Monaco; grandchildren, Noelle, Tommy, Jared, Kathy and Lauren; and close friends, Paul Pearsall, Johnny and Kristen Tanchak.
