Red Bank Resident, Anne Johnson Kirk, Dies at 93

Red Bank resident Anne Johnson Kirk died at her Red Bank home on Jan. 7. She was 93.

She was born on March 22, 1920 to Anna and Birger Johnson.

Anne was predeceased by: her husband, Lt. Col. Joseph Kirk; sisters Florence, Astrid, Mildred and Dagmar; and nieces Elaine Van Dorn and Audrey Ebner.

She is survived by: nephews, Theodore Eckman, Stephen Rose; nieces, Adele Poholsky, Christine Richardson and Elizabeth Gilmore; and their families, including 19 grand-nieces and nephews.

There will be a prayer service at the John E. Day Funeral Home, 85 Riverside Avenue, Red Bank, on Wednesday, Jan. 15, at 11 a.m.

Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Middletown. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent in Anne's memory to the Shadow Lake Village Pet Club, 1 Loch Arbor Way, Red Bank, NJ 07701 or any other animal rescue organization.
