4 Kids Caught With Drugs, Shrewsbury Police Say

Shrewsbury Police report a variety of incidents in its blotter for the week of March 9-15.

  •  March 10: Theodore R. Sizer, 25, Little Silver was arrested for Driving Under the Influence following a motor vehicle accident on Sycamore Avenue and Route 35. There were no injuries reported. Ptl. Tracy Polk investigated.  
  • March 12: A resident reported the unauthorized use of a credit card at multiple locations with damages totaling $1,024.00. Ptl. Derek Myers investigated.
  • March 14: A bomb threat caused the evacuation of Brandywine Senior Living at 5 Meridian Way. The building was thoroughly searched for explosive devices with negative results. NJ State Police Bomb Squad, Monmouth County Prosecutors Office, D.O.D Police, Monmouth County Sheriff’s Office, Long Branch PD, Wall PD and Middletown PD all assisted with the search.  Sgt. Michael Gallagher and Det. Sgt. Robert Turner investigating. 
  • March 14: Four juvenile males were taken into short term custody in the area of Route 35 and Avenue at the Commons after being found with both a controlled dangerous substance and drug paraphernalia. All parties were later released to their parents. Ptl. Mary Ellen Jennings and Ptl. Tracy Polk investigating.
