A Bavarian Bounty at Shrewsbury's Oktoberfest

The community gathered in the name of celebration at Shrewsbury Hose Company this weekend.

It's not officially Oktoberfest until someone shows up in lederhosen.

On Saturday, Shrewsbury Hose Company No. 1 displayed its best Bavarian pretzels, beers, brats and all for its autumn celebration. With a light jacket and a brew providing plenty of warmth on a slightly chilly night, hundreds gathered at the volunteer fire department's building on Broad Street for an Oktoberfest party that started in the afternoon and went well into the night.

Patch was on hand to catch some of the action. Check out the gallery above to see if we took your photo.
