Belmar Man Stole $400 Coin Bucket From Aberdeen Home, Police Say

James M. Frank allegedly shoved a woman who confronted him in the home.

A Belmar broke into a Lower Main Street home Wednesday afternoon and snatched a bucket of chance, Aberdeen Police Chief John Powers said in a press release.

A woman confronted James M. Frank, 21, in the home and a struggle ensued, according to police. The bucket contained about $400 worth of change, the arrest warrant indicated. Frank allegedly shoved the woman, who was an acquaintance, and fled on foot. Aberdeen Sgt. Raymond Sosa discovered Frank in Keyport and took him into custody, the release said.

Frank was charged with robbery, burglary and theft. His bail was set at $65,000 with no option to post 10 percent of the bond. He was remanded to Monmouth County Correctional Institution in Freehold Township.
