Borough Man Indicted for Attempted Sex Assault

A Red Bank man was indicted Friday by a Monmouth County Grand Jury on charges of Aggravated Assault and Attempted Sexual Assault stemming from a May 13 arrest.

According to court documents, Cesar Vidal, 40, committed attempted sexual assault when he attempted to commit the act of sexual penetration with a victim identified only as T.H. by using physical force or coercion. 

The S. Bridge Avenue resident was also charged with aggravated assault after the Grand Jury found credible evidence that Vidal purposely or knowingly cased significant bodily injury to T.H. 

The extent of the victim's was not immediately known.

Vidal was originally arrested by Red Bank Police and charged with Obstructing Administration of Law, Resisting Arrest and Simple Assault during the same time period.
