Four Injured in Newman Springs Road Crash Involving Van and Moving Truck

One person was transported via medevac helicopter.

An accident on Newman Springs Road involving two vehicles resulted in four injuries, including one considered serious, according to Capt. Darren McConnell of the Red Bank Police Department.

The accident took place Sunday afternoon at the intersection of Newman Springs Road and Leighton Avenue. One of the vehicles was a moving van, McConnell said.

Three people were transported to Riverview Medical Center and the individual who was seriously injured was transported via medevac helicopter to Jersey Shore University Medical Center, according to McConnell.

The Red Bank Police Department, the Red Bank Fire Department and the Red Bank First Aid and Rescue Squad responded to the scene, he noted.
