Harding Road Smash Up

A two-car accident after school Monday stalls traffic on Harding.

A two-car accident at the intersection of Harding Road and Clay Street at approximately 3 p.m. tied up traffic for most of the hour but did not result in any apparent injuries, according to a witness at the scene.

The accident took place when one vehicle was struck entering Harding Road from Clay Street. The vehicle entering Harding appeared to be driven by a high school student, who wore a uniform and pulled his backpack out of the car as it was being hoisted on a tow truck, though the identities of those involved in the crash, believed to be just two people, were not immediately available.

Damage to the tan sedan was significant as a significant portion of the front end was crumpled and its right front wheel well caved in. It was not clear if any summonses had been issued. remained on scene investigating the accident.
