Surveillance footage revealed culprit's identity, police complaints state

A Neptune man faces his first appearance in court today after Red Bank authorities arrested him on charges of committing an armed robbery in the borough.

Quam Wilson, 22, was arrested after police said surveillance footage showed he was responsible for a Nov. 14 robbery at the Exxon on Newman Springs Road.

Wilson used an unlicensed handgun to rob a person at 12:11 a.m., according to complaints filed with Superior Court.

He is charged with armed robbery, possession of a handgun without a permit and possession of a handgun with the purpose to use it unlawfully, according the complaints.

Wilson was held on $175,000 bail, no 10 percent option.

OK! Here is a perfect example of "why" we need to make the punishment for illegal possession of a handgun (or ANY gun) to be HEAVY. Send a message... "You have a right to have a gun, but "legally". If you don't, you go away for a long, long time.
