By then, the suspects had fled.

Brick Police Captain Robert Mazza said two black men dressed in black, their faces covered in scarves, forcibly entered the home, and one was holding a long barrel gun, the victim reported.

Though no one was injured in the incident, another child was in the home at the time of the incident, in addition to the 10 year-old who ran to neighbors' to call the police. The homeowner was left bound on the floor of the home.

The two men "ransacked the home," Mazza said, then fled on foot. Brick Police extensively searched the area, using K-9 officers and assistance from Wall and Point Pleasant Borough police.

No charges have been filed for the Montclair Avenue incident as of yet. Mazza said the investigation is still very much underway.

He said police are looking for proceeds from the home invasion, including clothing or other items that may have been dropped in backyards as the suspects fled. Police are asking anyone who finds suspicious items to come forward.

Investigation is continuing at this time. Brick Police are actively searching for proceeds or evidence, including clothing, in the neighborhood.  Anyone who lives in the area who observed any suspicious items, such has clothing, in their yard are asked not to touch the item and to contact the Brick Police at 732-262-1100. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Brick Twp. Police Detective Bureau, Det. Thomas Cooney or Det. Greg Mullarkey, at 732-262-1120.
